SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY PRICE!
A bernmeister original, this catchy tune projects to be a big breakthrough hit. It features bern on lead vocals, with high end professional skin pounding from drummer Dan Castagno. Rob Taube is his usual excellent self contributing as both engineer and performer (guitar, bass, piano, background vocals). For those interested, a Guild archtop model X-170, circa 2000, is the prominent guitar featured.
One of the first melodies bern ever composed, it was held in abeyance until both the lyrics could be further developed, and a professional team could be put together to properly elevate it.
The words speak to how listeners have moved on from 50s and 60s tunes, to early 70s greats, and some of the giants of today. While it is disappointing to see few new artists of that stature emerge on the pop/rock music scene, the lyrics acknowledge “Chicago and Sting are still goin strong...” ending that stanza with “my hope for the future is Lin Man Miranda”.
However as the title implies, the most prominent reference is to the Beatles, and particularly Ringo Starr. It is hoped that with enough exposure bringing this work to his attention, Ringo will consider doing a cover of it. Starr has said he’s got no complaints, but he would love one more big hit, especially if it were one conducive for his All Starr Band to do live in concert when on tour.
